I remember Emmitt and I going to his press conference in the bowels of the SuperPit. We read that he was gonna be introduced while eating at Burger King an hour or so before the announcement, and just walked on over.

Not many people were there.

Just curious, what were you and thoughts amd impressions that day? I know anybody but Trilli, but aside from Trilli.

Gosh, that was so long ago, but I remember being excited by him. A lot of that was the introductory comments about all the people he had worked for and his brief stint as head guy at Memphis.

I also seem to recall Emmitt and I were the only two students there, and RV (who was also pretty new back then) even came over and said hello.

believe this was RV's first hire and followed quickly after the firing of Trilli, the day of or after the funeral of one of his players.
