So this article does concern Texas Tech and not us.... we are hurting for Football topics here lol.

"Houston (Texas) Bellaire wide receiver Devin Lauderdale - a Texas Tech commit - and three other Houston-area players were planning on making the roughly 550-mile drive to Lubbock, Texas, to take in the school's Spring Game."

But they never got there.

The never even got, in fact, to West Texas.

"(We) didn't use a GPS, and we didn't even know we were going the wrong way," Lauderdale said. "So we were driving (and we ended up) in East Texas."

Not the sharpest knives in the drawer, are they. Wonder if they can read a playbook? Well, I wonder if they can just read.

Good grief how are these goofballs smart enough to make it into HS must less be in the running for a scholarship. Have they never left Houston, or do they still depend on mommy to wipe their butts.

Ask Byron Hanspard how smart you have to be to get a Tech scholarship

geezz louise. Another example of the state of today's youth. How in gods' name would any of today's youth manage to function if our satellite system and cell phone system got suddenly knocked out because of severe solar flairs.

Either these guys are really dumb, or (conspiracy theory alert!) they went exactly where they wanted to go in East Texas, had to make up an excuse to cover it up, and sacrificed their intellectual reputation to hide it.

Either way, not smart.

Umm....4 inner city Houston athletes want to go hang out in Nacogdoches? In reply to the satellite phones and GPS comment....I would agree if these nimwits had the sense to at least use those devices. They apparently thought that Road Signs would be posted stating "Lubbock.....this way" all the way from Houston to Lubbock. I am glad we have not offered these guys.

Don't think we should throw stones.

After all, these guys couldn't find Lubbock when starting from Houston.

Seems to me we had several student athletes who couldn't find the classroom while living on campus.

Just sayin...

maybe someone should just remind them that the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West, Lubbock is west of Houston.

GPS....Bah!!!!!

Anyone ever go old school and use a thing called a "map?" After you plan your route you just have to read the road signs to make sure you go the right way.

They have this map thing online too. You type in your starting point and destination and it gives you turn by turn directions. Still have to follow the directions.

Digital - "garbage in - garbage out." Sometimes its better to go analog.

Yep, and a number of our students couldn't find Apogee late in the year.
