North Texas head coach Dan McCarney walks among his players during the Mean Green's first workout of the spring this week. UNT will practice in pads for the first time today.

North Texas will work out for the first time in pads today. Dan McCarney has maintained throughout his tenure that he wants to have a physical and relentless team.

Well, this is when UNT begins to find out which players can help make that happen.

Here are a few position groups, players and trends to watch in the morning:

UNT would like to have more players it can trust to put into games.

Those players could begin to emerge tomorrow.

Is Coleman Feeley the answer at right tackle? Will Micah Thompson make a smooth transition to the offensive line after coming to UNT as a defensive tackle?

Those are questions UNT has to answer.
