Here's the bad news and good news for SMU. The bad news...they continue trying to money whip coaches who tell them "thanks but no thanks" because they're just that irrelevant in basketball. The good news...they're saved any public embarrassment because they ARE that irrelevant and nobody's paying attention.

Yesterday I read that during a pregame meeting in the late 90's or early 00's he asked a team manager to bring him a towel while he was drawing up plays. He then pulled his pants down, took a dump on the towel, wiped his but with it, and handed it back to the manager. All in front of his entire team.

They got Larry Brown. Howard from Illinois will be one of his assistants (I really like Howard - young and rising). But there is now talk that Jankovich will come to SMU to be the coach in waiting. Really interesting setup. If SMU gets all that I think they did a good job.
