"North Texas tennis jumped 20 spots in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings to No. 40, the ITA announced on Tuesday.

The No. 40 ranking represents the highest the Mean Green has been ranked in program history, with the previous best being No. 60 last week.

"Being ranked this high just shows what these girls have accomplished so far this year," said head coach Sujay Lama. "This type of schedule made this team mentally tough and has given them the will to win."

Not that you needed any more reasons to go watch the Tennis girls do their thing.... but now we are ranked higher than ever before!

Have watched the team play several times. They are a great group of girls who play a "mean" brand of tennis. It is no accident they have moved up in the rankings over the years....good coaching and quality athletes make for a good team.
