We could rename it to the beloved name of the SunBelch in honor of the inevitable return of La Tech to the conference.

Now "that" has potential! :goodjob:

I think it should stay the Sun Belt. But if it must change:

The American South Conference - the Mountain West worked well for all players involved. Footprint is in the south. The Mountain West has footprint in the west but had TCU.

The American South Conference has already been done with Arky State, LaLa and others, but it might be worth a revisit if we're going to make a change. Naming rights probably wouldn't be a problem since they merged with The Sunbelt back in the early 90's.

How about The I'm Trapped and Can't Get out Conference?

Better than the "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up" conference - the WAC.

While I certainly agree that there'd be great value in moving to a more respected conference, I have a hard time making fun of our conference until we demonstrate an ability to dominate consistently. Yes, we had our chance to laugh at the 'Belt, but those days are long gone.

I have no problem with "Sun Belt Conference", but would love to see the promoted logos simply say "SBC"...logo talk anyone?
