The Montana State football team endured a week of change over the past seven days. First came news secondary coach/assistant defensive coordinator Noah Joseph was on the move. Then came the decision that made Roger Trammell a Bobcat no more.

Friday, the Chronicle confirmed Joseph was on the move to North Texas. While Joseph's departure and Trammell's dismissal meant change in the Bobcat family, MSU added two new members in the wake of change.

While Ash was excited to have two coaching searches finished, he now must begin a third. Joseph played for Ash at Drake before coaching at his alma mater. Joseph has been a part of Ash's staff since the MSU head coach's arrival in Bozeman in 2007.

"(North Texas) Dan McCarney has taken my coaches for 10 years," Ash said with a laugh. "He used to steal my guys from Drake to go to Iowa State. Now he's taken my second one here to North Texas. No, but I'm sad to lose Noah because he is one of my guys. He played for me, he coached with me, has been here with me from the beginning. He helped me build this thing since Day 1. He's been a really big key to helping us pave our path to success the last five years.

"He is one of my guys, so it's hard to say goodbye."
