You seem to have a lot of conviction when you say that. Have you seen this group play? Have you seen the coaching? Have you seen how we keep beating ourselves? Like I mentioned in another post, we are not a team to look at a schedule and pencil in wins. We’re not that good. Army has beaten bottom half programs they’ve faced. They beat another one yesterday.
I’ve thought a lot about how different the game would have been had that not happened. We’re all pissed that we couldn’t score there, but we really did.
Add to that the PI call and the fumble that was called an incomplete pass and it’s actually kind of shocking that we still could have won the game.
The TD not being given to us is even more frustrating if you saw the TD that Bama was given. Instant replay really sucks sometimes. What’s the point if you can’t get it right?
It was hard to tell live from my position in the stands if McGill got the touchdown. The replay shown in the stadium wasn't conclusive. Hank asked Morris about it on the postgame radio show. Morris said 'that even on the tape on the sideline' it looked like McGill scored. From watching an ESPN highlight clip after the game it looked like he scored to me.
I think you're referring to the fumble that was overturned by replay. It was so close. The DPI call on Nelson earlier in that drive made me absolutely nuts.
Chandler's INTs were crushing. There was a mass exodus of people with green shirts on after the first pick. A bubble bursting type of moment.
