You're all missing the point. A thread about who could be on a possible list of CUSA replacements, on a board dedicated to a school who "never gives us a second thought", is 90% about US.

I think it's 90% about how a handful of dudes can show how they can be both ignorant. arrogant, and really have nothing to say all at the same time. The real point to me is: I don't care what folks like that say. Nothing to see; let's move along.

How else could they support the killing of hookers while paying players to cheat there?

The guys on that blog were great.

They sound like insecure children. I have a vision of several has beens or never weres sitting in their parent's lonely basements eating cheetos in their tighty whities while blogging nonsense about people who care less about them during their breaks in the Everquest action. Or was it some online avatar life that those of us with lives don't even know about?

Either way, high comedy for me reading their pathetic statements.

simply means standing in front of a mirror must be one unpleasant experience.

Oh good grief. This rodrod5 I think is our old friend with an axe to grind against UNT that has formerly gone by Checkfacts and TodgeRodge. This guy has serious issues and is trashing us over on the WAC board as well.

Why not just take out student loans to offset the cost of Texas vs. UNT? Seems like a diploma from Texas as opposed to Harvard on the Highway would be well worth the investment.

I don't mind the smug ramblings of smu fans. As long as they believe they are lightyears ahead of North Texas, we can quietly build our program. Jones has tried to leave the ponies each of the last two years, and that won't help them in the long term. By the time we start our series, these same smug smu fans will realize they have a fight on their hand, and be very humbled watching their Big East smu program getting slapped around by UNT.

UNT is not a school for kids that didn't get into Texas or Tech. I got accepted to Texas. I had the opportunity to attend Rice. If I wanted, I could have gone to smu, and they would have given me a free ride too. I chose to pass on those schools, and attend North Texas. None of those schools could match the education I received at North Texas. I love North Texas, and I wear my Mean Green shirts and hats with pride.

      The Band

      Our oldest is in the Oklahoma State band. They seem to focus on the entertainment more than anything else. The last halftime show had them playing “Bye Bye Bye” by NSYNC. Their pregame is just the fight song, Oklahoma, and a stand tune. Then they wait around while special guests lead the in game chants. In game playing is fun. They play iron man, dies irae, stuff like that. They play off the DJ better than we do. There’s usually no playing over eachother, though it does happen. The quality is fine. They have a new director. Last years quality was lacking.

      Kicking has been bad, punting is average at best, and we allowed the onside kick against UTSA. Those are my main complaints. There's only about 25 teams (quick count) that have allowed a kickoff return for a TD and we're one of them. Special teams certainly wasn't a weapon this year which to me means it has the potential to be a problem. Regarding Morris being aggressive because the defense is bad, I just disagree. I'll refer to the Navy game last year going for it on 4th and goal on the first drive. It was game 5 of his tenure. He did it again on the first drive against Memphis last year. Two games we lost by 3 where he passed up the field goal attempt on the first drive of the game all within his first 7 games. If he didn't trust the defense that much 7 games in to his coaching career here but yet kept Caponi for year 2, that's a fireable offense on his own. Now to EM acting as an OC and not HC, this is his 6th year as a division 1 head coach. Are we really making this excuse for him? Honestly all of this makes me wish he'd get an OC job somewhere and leave.
