Sweet!!! This is an area (Walkons) where we should really shine and have a distinct advantage over TCU and SMU. We've had so many great players who were preferred walk-ons over the years. Chris Hurd, and Andy Brewster are two that come to mind off the top of my head. Aaron Fortenberry is another and of course Ivan Delgado.

And Casey Fitzgerald.

I liked watching his video, thought it was much better produced than most I've seen, and more important, showed a guy who keeps going till the whistle blows. I thought his stats were good; 5.1 40 is pretty good for a guy that big. But did anyone notice his grades? GPA of 4. Good that he can hold his own academically; plus a center needs to be smart.

He could have a tough row to hoe. Fortenberry will be gone by the time he gets his feet wet but Boone Feldt and Ellard will probably both be ahead him. Maybe he can pass one of them.

On the subject of walkons we also need some receivers.

I have been thinking about our 2012 class members possibly playing

at other postions, like WR. Here are two guy's that I would not

mind working in at WR.

Jamal Marshall, 6-3, 185. 4.4 speed, was recruited as a DB.

Would the staff allow Marshall to try out at WR? At 6-3, and 4.4 speed!

Big body with speed!

Same for RB Rex Rollins, 6-1, 185, 4.5 from Tyler's Chapel Hill HS.

I beleive Rex was recruited to play DB/Safety for North Texas.

Either defense or offense, both Marshall and Rollins will be great for North Texas!
