Tulsa, ULM, UNT, area recruiting

We've gone head-to-head with Tulsa at times over the years. It was interesting to me that the Golden Hurricane only signed three out of Texas this year. In the two prior years, they'd signed 8 and 6 respectively.

I also note that ULM got 11 out of Texas this year, and has had as many as 10 over the past two years, including kids from Denton.

I'm wondering if our tiny bit of success kept some kids from crossing up to Tulsa this year. I also wonder what can be done about ULM.

My hope is that we do well enough to not complete with them at all for recruits, but go above and beyond them. I like Tulsa as a second alma mater and respect Todd Berry as a recruiter. But, I'd really love to see us bypass them both on college football food chain.
