I don't know if we can compare ourselves with Troy. Troy will sign a ton of players who they pretty much know have little change to quality. They hope that after a year or two of JC they will sign back with Troy. If these guys qualify and we give them scholarships (whether it's a 2012 or 2013 scholarship) then that's one thing. If a half dozed of these guys don't qualify them maybe we're being like Troy.

I wonder how much grey shirting Mac did at Iowa St?

Actually - he may be a grayshirt...will be heading to the press conference and will try to figure that one out.

Is there a better word? He verbally committed and switched over on signing day. I wasn't trolling.

He was most likely going to be a greyshirt or preferred walk-on here...We had never even heard of him until yesterday...

He wanted to be here, but we did not have a scholly for him. We're grayshirting 3 guys already. Either he would be #4, or he would have been a walk-on...

OR,

He could take a scholarship to Lamar! I think he made a good choice. Good get!

He'll do well at Lamar in Billy Tubbs' fast break offense, Chuck.

Hmm...good one. Knight is our head coach now though. Tubbs has since retired. However, I digress as I know he's one of our most notable alums.
