Hill County has finally updated their athletic site for the last three games. On 1-14, Hill lost to Ranger 76-79, Odoh was held to 4 points but got 16 rebounds. They lost as already reported to Collin Community 79-84 but Odoh had 17 points going 8 for 9 from the field to go along with his 14 rebounds. On the 21th, Hill beat Weatherford 74-67 behind Odoh's 16 points on 8-11 shooting and again he got 16 rebounds.

Adding Odoh to the center and surrounding him with Mitchell, Franklin, A. Williams and Jones/Norris could lead us to our best team/record ever. I hope Mitchell sticks around for one more year and Jones and J. Williams get their grades in order.

Too bad. We could use 1 of those right now. And I mean this very moment.

I just hope to see a solid defender and rebounder. Those are the 2 things I'll be concentrating on

  UNT Women play FAU at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon...on ESPN Plus. UNT is currently in 2nd place, tied with Temple, and 1 game behind UTSA. Next game is against Temple at the Super Pit On Wednesday, January 29th at 6:30 p.m. We need a good crowd for home court advantage to break the tie! Play former UNT Coach Karen Aston's team in San Antonio on Tuesday, February 1st at 6:30 p.m. Looks to be a critical game as they are currently undefeated in conference play. Need to win today at FAU, next Wednesday against Temple, and the following Saturday at South Florida to set up a game at UTSA for possible 1st place in the conference. GMG...beat FAU!   I have been fortunate to be at 8 of the top ten attended games in our history and I will keep coming until I can say ten out of ten. We have got some work to do to make that happen and I am not getting any younger! So I will see you tomorrow at the Super Pit as we look to beat our second Owl in a row!!!

  The writer should have checked that number against other schools. My quick research shows SDSU and Texas Tech have about 75% of students living "off-campus", Texas-Austin is at 83%, Utah State is at 80%, and Boise State is at 82%. Didn't bother looking at any others but I'd imagine this is pretty standard amongst public universities, especially now with online classes.
