WBB: Coach Aston Fundraiser this Saturday

I wanted to make you aware of an organization that Coach Aston and her staff have adopted as their charity. It is called Samaritan's Feet and they accept donations of new sneakers or money to give people both here and abroad shoes for their feet. Many colleges as well as high school coaches and even teams travel to Africa every year. So for this Saturday's game, the coaches will not be wearing shoes. If you would like to donate a pair of shoes, you can bring them to the game, even if you are just attending the men's game. If you are not attending, but wish to show your support, you can click on the link below for more information about this great cause and have an opportunity to support it with a monetary donation.

Thanks Dozer...I was aware of this Fundraiser and have already donated. It's a great cause and I am proud to know that we have another Mean green Coach who cares so much as to do something like this. Anyone who is able should consider logging on to that site and making a donation. I'm glad I did, and thanks for posting this.

I hope she reaches...no exceeds...her goal. Lots of kids will be glad she did and glad some folks were able to help her reach her goal. Way to go Coach Aston!
