Former Iowa coach Hayden Fry was honored with the Bryant Lifetime Achievement Award on Thursday. Fry is the 10th-winningest coach all-time in Division I football history.

In 36 years, Fry went 232-178-10, including 143 wins at Iowa which included three Rose Bowl appearances, three Big Ten championships and 14 bowl games. Fry, who also coached at North Texas and SMU, made Jerry LeVias the first African-American to sign a football scholarship in the Southwest Conference when he signed LeVias to SMU in 1966.
