Alzee goes to the point. Walton starts at the 2. Tony gets all the time at the 3 on offensive and the middle in the zone to stay out of foul trouble. Roger plays the 4. The Frenchman starts at the 5.

That lineup will perform better mark my words. Bring the three other bigs back when they get healthy. Trey will have to grow up fast.

We now get to see JJ's raise and extension put to the test, does he have the coaching ability to steady the ship and continue winning. The talent is there.

Hopefully in Hot Springs we get 100% healthy.

Let's put out Alzee ,Roger,TMitch,Niko & Hogans. Nobody could match our size. Stay in the zone to stay out of foul trouble, conserve a little energy and force teams to shoot over us. We really don't have the bodies to man up with anyone.

Bring in Walton off the bench for instant offense and hope he can get hot from beyond the arc. Bring in Trey to give Alzee a breather.

Holman comes in to give TM and Niko a break. He too can provide a offense spark. Zo gives you fouls and minutes. If he can play like he did last year in Hot Springs , watch out.

Hall & Robinson give you emergency minutes.

The entire NCAA Tourny is done by the first Monday in april. Semester not over till may

Damn you are right. I got spring break mixed up w/semester break.. I guess it's been too long since I've been out of school

I like this thread! Glad to see some Mean Green optimism after giving a bit of bad news time to digest a bit!

I think we should for sure expect .500 ball at the minimum. Anything else I see as a bonus.

      24/25 MBB Attendance Tracker

      I believe we have had more games without classes in session. If someone has the academic calendar handy for this year and last, I can work up the exact numbers. Knowing we would have more games played during the academic break (and the horrible slate of games the AD put together) is exactly why it was critical for the AD to work extra hard getting the surrounding community to the games. I live too far away to know if they've done anything, but based on the results, I don't know if they have...certainly nothing that's moved the needle. It's like they just take time off when students aren't around. We need the so-called t-shirt fans from in and around Denton. What has the AD done to generate excitement and stimulate demand for the program? Whatever it is, it's been a complete failure IMHO. We have a team and program on the rise. It's WINNING games on a regular basis. Based on the last few years, we had a lot of momentum going into this season and it's been squandered in epic fashion. I doubt they are doing anything and just running out the clock waiting for the students to return so they can continue to do nothing. Here's an idea...It seems Jared enjoys his court-side seat. How about running a "switch seats with the AD" promotion? Each half one lucky attendee is drawn and gets to sit court-side and Jared moves to the cheap seats. Who knows, maybe you only get a handful of extra tickets out of it, but we're moving in the wrong direction.

      We have the volume, just nobody cultivating those relationships. Seems Denton proper feels little to no ownership in the university even though it's a large driver of the local economy. As @UNTLiferccommented, things like the homecoming parade have disappeared. They've made every move necessary to make the school and the city separate entities.

      I'm not pissing on anyone, but maybe Nelson, who was a 5 star coming out of high school, was overrated. He's just looking for playing time, which I can certainly appreciate, but UTEP is heralding his signing as being the best in their history. I'm saying is there is a reason he didn't stick at previous places and was probably doesn't have that high of a rating now.

      Should we add Texas State to the AAC?

      Those qualities may be fine for us, but nor for ECU or Charlotte or USF, etc. There is no way they want another Texas school in the AAC. They would rather have Ga State, or Jax St., or James Madison, or App St, or WKU. Also, a 16-18 team conference gets too big. It needs to stay 12-14 football/basketball members at most.
