Saw that too. Could be interesting...

Rumor has been around since early signing period came and went that Brandon Pye might come to North Texas on an academic scholarship, redshirt a year, then come on athletic scholarship in the class of 2013. The circumstances of his offer and commitment are a little peculiar, but we did offer him a scholarship at one point and he did decide he wanted to play for us. And he could definitely fill a role for us somewhere down the line.

But... Pye has (had? He's started and shut down at least one other one I'm aware of) a Twitter account. I'm pretty sure he's referring to Pye, but not sure why he didn't link to Pye's Twitter account like he did with Overlander.

If it is Pye, then I'm very glad he may end up with us without having to tie up one of our few available class of 2012 ships. If Tony's talking about him like he's coming on board, that's good to see.

Also... I'm going to move this to the Basketball Forum for now. If it turns out this is someone nobody has on the radar, we'll turn it into their prospect thread and move it back.

Maybe the most exciting thing about this isn't the news that we have Pye coming on despite no scholarship, or some mystery recruit... But that Tony is talking about looking forward to playing with incoming recruits. Can't do that unless you expect to stick around for next season.
