You scared me for a minute, but I think we're okay:

DPS will now distribute Dr Pepper sweetened with cane sugar throughout Dublin's former territory, and continue to sell it in other areas of Texas, including Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and Waco. It's the same product Dublin sold. It will still be bottled and canned in distinct, nostalgic packaging. The only difference is it will not reference Dublin on the label.

Principle.

Exactly.

Big business in this country is such a double-edged sword. And it's made it clear it will sh*t on nostalgia and tradition in the interest of bottom lines and profit margins, almost every singe chance it gets. This is just one example. College athletics is another.

Man... My facebook was on BLAST last night because of this. Acting like it was the end of the world over a drink they have maybe once a year.

AH! Now The Ticket is talking about it.

Not me, I have it a lot. The Chicken Express near me has it in the fountain.

It's a pretty serious dick move considering that there was a friendly agreement made, and the people who really are infringing on someone would be Dr. Pepper/Snapple with their fake Dublin formula and packaging.

But this the whole part where it's no longer free market at work, it's more like big money at work.
