DENTON, Texas -Former North Texas running back Lance Dunbar and defensive end Brandon Akpunku will play in the Casino Del Sol College All-Star game in Tucson, Arizona on January 16. The game will be played at Kino Stadium and is being organized by Casino Del Sol and Joe Dan Rogers, the former executive director of the Hula Bowl.

The game will be divided between two teams, the "Stars" and "Stripes" and each roster features 47 players from across the nation. Dunbar and Akpunku will play for the Stripes team.

Dunbar was a first-team all-conference selection after his record breaking season saw him become the all-time leading rusher in school history.

Dunbar rushed for a school and conference record in the final game of the season going for 313 yards against Middle Tennessee. Dunbar also became only the sixth player in NCAA history to record over 4,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving.

Akpunku finished his career at North Texas sixth all-time in sacks and fourth in school history in tackles for a loss.

The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Arizona and its affiliates and kickoff is set for 7 p.m. central.
