AWESOME GAME to be at, was on TV a few times, (the guy with the darrrrrk green hoodie and the black mask thing.) Thor, what happened? i waited in the coldd for like 20 minutes then went inside because it was cold. lol overall, once the team know how to hold on to the ball, then they will be unstoppable. there were to many bad passes. :(

Our athleticism is insane.

And shooting is starting to come around.

Nice win. Did what we should have done to WKU.

Now, go to ULM and beat them by double digits, i may start to think this thing is turning a corner.

The real test comes Jan 21st

I was not at the game but wathcing it on DVR, just like to note they ran the 2-3 zone and oh wait... they defended the three... I wonder why...

Because you're a freaking genius, that's why! I thought you knew this already.

Amazing game. Simply one of the most entertaining bball games I've ever attended. Brought two newcomers to the game and they were grinning the whole time. They will be back!

Seriously.. How does one even PRACTICE a no look reverse dunk ?? I was having a hard time wrapping my brain around that.

exactly.

a team starting a bunch of freshmen.

no outside shooters. (i'm not making that up...check the stats...28.9% from 3-ville)

no inside presence.

most definitely nobody like tony mitchell. for that matter...we don't have anyone close to chris jones or jordan williams.

second game after a coaching change.

there'll be nothing to see here gentlemen. you beat troy by 22. they beat us AT DIDDLE.

tough start for the ray harper (interim) era. the most 'talented' team in the league in unt and then on to honky heaven @ 5,280 feet high.

We must have bigger rims as the Toppers seemed to be on fire from three.

Also TM needs to wear a mouth piece or he may break teeth on the rim.

Dude, everyone makes mistakes. Hell, I was mega-wrong about UALR. But continuing to defend something so obviously wrong to anyone who knows anything about basketball is crazy.

Repeat after me... I was wrong... Now, is that so hard?

During our televised games I wished there was a way to get the folks sitting up high to fill in down low on the west side. The empty seats look terrible.

Rick

there was no one in the upper section of the pit...it would be nice to have a packed lower bowl, but there just weren't enough people at the game tonight for that to happen. can't wait for school to get back in session to have some major overflow of students filling out some sections

They shot 7-25...28%, right at their average.

From 3? Man, it just seemed like they did better. Guess it is one of those times when one only notices the negative. My bad.

UNT90, I was wrong.

I have already discussed this topic with people who have actually played the game at the collegiate level... I was at Ryan High with Quincy Williams for a little bit... I hold conversation with people who know the game much better then I do and I get varying opinions. BUT people who know the game have agreed with me... not all but a good chunk of them. I do not see how having 4 people guard the perimeter and stopping the penetration which is huge because it allows the open three is somehow infective against the three... If you run the right offense sure you could bust it open from deep.... but the same can be said for 3-2 zone 2-12 man or any other sort of defense your mind can imagine!

your right... I am stupid... maybe if a few of the players on the team, a coach or anyone who knew a lick about basketball talked to you... well you might learn something.

Speaking of which I ran into Harold Edwards tonight at the game I was working ended up talking to him for a while because he was training a player who was playing.

I really would like to see you get out and attempt to coach a team. My guess (no offense): your a 40 year old white male maybe 5'11, sits on the couch watches the game and just can "see" where everything is wrong... and assume because you can recall past statistics and players you think your basketball I.Q. is higher then coach K's. (just my guess... not saying I am not in or around that same boat... but just an assumption. Maybe touched a bsketball court 5 times in your life? Coached...? most likely never...

So what makes your opinion right? (any defense can be effective with the right athletes and the right coaches influence)

Now that's just too funny

This is a bit, right?

I feel like we should just stop justifying your posts with responses...but I feel baited anyway. If the zone is an effective way to guard the 3, then why is it EVERY time a team switches to zone, the first thing out of the commentators mouth is either "switching to the zone, have to be careful because it leads to an open three" or "XTeam is switching to the zone Y Team will have to shoot their way out of it". Is it that every single basketball announcer knows less about basketball than you?
