I saw this and thought some of you might be interested. The Honors College is hosting "Great Conversations" on February 28. From what I can tell you pay $65 (or can even sponsor a table) to have dinner and converse with people like: George Dunham, Coach McCarney, Dave Barnett, Bill Lively, Tim Madigan, the owners of Armadillo Ale Works (Denton's first microbrewery) and there are more. More info at http://honors.unt.edu/greatconversations.

This is always a fun event (only slightly biased since I sit on the planning committee) and helps raise money for the Honors College. A win-win for all!

Looks good but they missed some opportunities for speakers and topics. How about:

Kram1 "The Power of Eternal Optimism"

Plumm Mean Green "The Effectiveness of fonts and colors in Written Communications"

Silver Eagle "The Evolution of Marching Band styles in Texas and Beyond"

I am sure there are others that I missed.

Sure are!

How 'bout:

EulessEagle: "Webpage citation: The art of subliminally making a point."

TheTastyGreek: "Statistics made Easy: The science of crafting poigniant statistics in the blink of an eye."

FireFightnRick: "Cannons 101"

Cooley: "DFW Basketball: The ins & outs of identifying future basketball stars/busts at the High School level"

I'm sure there are others that I missed.
