Going vs. LSU is pretty bad. It more less yells out small-time, but having South Alabama and Texas Southern on the schedule not only yells out small-time, but it also damages the strength of schedule. We're supposed to beat USA and TX Southern, winning doesn't count for much and losing does a TON of damage to the team's record and likelihood for a bowl game.

I agree with the fcs/d1aa stuff, but what's wrong with playing LSU?

Small time is playing an fcs team. Playing the national champ is as big as it gets.

Also, as someone who pays a pretty penny for my seats, I'll be very very disappointed if the current schedule is intact next fall.

Knowing all too well where you sit, there is one thing I will absolutely grant you, and that's that it appears you're getting 5/6 the product for 100% of the price next year. I haven't gotten a definitive answer on that, but, well. Yeah.

Oregon Ducks?

The opening game between Oregon and LSU was a neutral site game at Jerry World. Yes, starting out against a SEC or Big XII powerhouse is small time. But, hopefully the $750K payout will clear the bank...
