I just noticed the Big 12 is the only AQ conference that doesn't play a mid-major in a bowl game. ACC and PAC-12 play 2 bowls against mid majors and th Big Ten, Big East, and SEC all play one bowl game against the little guys.

and give up a shot a beating them - no, I don't think so. I have seen us beat Texas Tech twice and Baylor. We are getting strong enough to compete with them home or away.

Didn't the Big 12 just invite a "Mid Major" to be apart of their conference?

Don't know why we even use that term. It's total BS to create a class system just because some school is in an AQ conference. Hopefully the AQ and Mid-Major terms will go away simultaneously.

The bowl matchups are set the way they are, and the way things worked out at the end of the season, the Big 12 didn't end up having a team matching up against a "mid-major" team. Not sure what the big deal is. I don't see any SEC team matching up against a "mid-major" team either. Bowl games usually tend to match teams of similar pedigree against each other.

I'm not talking about how the match ups worked out. The Big 12 is the only conference that does not have a bowl game with a tie-in with a mid-major. SEC has the Liberty Bowl with CUSA. Big Ten has the Pizza Bowl with the MAC. There's no reason the Big 12 with it's nine bowl tie- ins couldn't schedule a game with any mid major conference.

And no the B12 didn't just add a mid major. The B12 wouldn't touch TCU until they were in the Big East.

Take away the mid majors from the B12 schedule and they don't have 8-9 bowl eligible teams.

Or we can keep rolling over and accepting scraps off the AQ table.

My thinking is the Mid-Majors should win those scheduled games to keep them from being bowl eligible. Much more exciting if you ask me.

Not every Big school, just the Big 12.

and of course it's a meaningless rant. It's the off season and just trying to get something going on this board.
