Upset Alert. The 8-3 Louisiana State Tigers take their 2-1 road record to The Super Pit to play the 6-5 North Texas Mean Green. NTU has won four in a row and are 4-0 at home, the last three were at The Super Pit. The Mean Green mopped up 0-8 Grambling 82-40 their last time out courtesy of a 50-20 second-half exhibition.

North Texas was led by Chris Jones' 20 points as junior forward Roger Franklin, freshman forward Tony Mitchell, junior guard Brandan Walton and freshman guard Jordan Williams also hit double digits. The Mean Green doubled up the Tigers 42-21 on the glass and headed to the charity stripe twice as much as GSU making 12 more free throws in 28 attempts. To go with 20-of-28 free-throwing NTU made four more three-pointers, 6-2, to help make this game a cakewalk.
