God I love the Oakridge Boys. Seems like Dale tries to say something more and more and more shocking after the beautiful montage every year. I think last year he told us all that he was a horrible father and his kids hated him. What will he confess next year?

Well done Dale Hansen...we need more with the courage he had to come forward with this, but let's all hope and pray that courage comes while there is still time to save other kids from the same fate Dale Hansen suffered...and those at Penn State...and those of the Catholic Church and those in the shadows of everyday life all around the world.

NEVER ever look the other way and NEVER ever think you have done what you should have done until the authorities (the law enforcement authorities) are involved and fully aware of the situation. Looking the other way, and thinking you have done enough,just will not cut it.

Thanks, Dale...I hope your announcement will help some child come forward and some sexual predator gets what he/she so rightly deserve.

I don't think he was saying that. I think he was just wondering how many other kids might have become victims in his home town, because he was too afraid, or too ashamed, (and at age 10, very understandable) to say anything about what happened that day.

It's just hindsight guilt on his part. If he HAD gone to any adult in his family to try and talk about his sexual victimization at the hands of the 16 year old, he would have been told to be quiet and stop talking dirty. OR someone would have slapped him for talk'in dirty.

Kids get victimized either because of situations like Dale's, or because they are chronically neglected and/or their parents don't talk to them much. Pedophiles fill that void, because they are more than willing to talk to kids.
