First off thanks to Emmitt and the gang for the tailgating before the game. Very cool to hang out with some hardcore fans before a game at the Pit.

OK, good game actually one of the most entertaining I have been too. Some of the earlier posts are absolutely correct Tony's presence CHANGES the game for this team. He is so good defensively he forces the other team to make adjustments and they have to earn points in the paint. He is a terrific shotblocker. On offense, he is a constant threat in the paint and owns the glass. He makes every player out there better. For instance, Roger Franklin - who had a great nite - was able to tear them up inside because they were worried about Tony. He is without a doubt the most talented player I have ever seen in the Pit.

As others mentioned, he did get a tad winded at times but goodness this kid has only been in one full practice and will only get better with time. he missed a few free throws and had a couple of turnovers but man, but the guy owned the gym and had the crowd going crazy in the 20 minutes he played.

Tony had a couple of nasty dunks and I thought he really played team ball and passed off a couple of times when he could have kept.

I also want to give kudos to Chris Jones, he had as good a start as I have seen hitting like 6 straight shots and controlling the tempo. Roger Franklin reminded me of Adrian Dantley at times, he can really play strong down low. Jordan was getting to the line transfere a bit and seems to be playing better.

I will say it now, this team could be really, really good...it is going to be really fun to watch! What's scary is some of the best talent are true freshman. And I agree 100% watching Tony reminded me of watching Booger Kennedy on the basketball court. He is so good you just can't take your eyes off of him for a second... Good times to be Green!! GMG!

Sorry I couldn't make it to the tailgate. I had work until 6. But I was at the game, and all I have to say is "WOW." Also, I believe I got ripped for saying the coaches were insane for not putting him first-team All-Sun Belt. He's the best player in the Sun Belt by a country mile. If he doesn't win MVP, I'll be shocked.

I closed my eyes and tried to imagine this picture of Booger playing basketball at the Pit. Whoa!

I mean this with the utmost sincerity...when I came to UNT in 2001, Booger was one of the 5 best basketball players on campus.

Ive always been convinced you coulda pulled 5 outta the PEB that woulda wrecked the boys in the PIT back then.

True, true, true.

As much as I loved the Rec, pick-up games were so much better at the PEB...everyone knew which court they should play on and the consistency in quality runs was far greater than in the Rec where everyone thought they should be on center court.
