Third game in 6 days, against a team tied for 11th in the mid-major top 25. The team they are tied with is Oral Roberts, who handed NT their worst loss of the year by 10 points at the Super Pit. The team may not have gotten a win last night against Tulane, but they played their butts off...hopefully fatigue isn't too big of an issue. Tulane had several days more rest than NT last night, and Missouri State will be at home with an extra day of rest on NT tomorrow. MSU does appear beatable...their last outing was a 23 point loss to Oklahoma State in Stillwater.

Missouri State really has a great atmostphere for a women's game, the crowd is loud and into it, I hope we can reach this level of support for both our men's and women's teams. 3 point game now btw!

Lost by 11...not terrible under the circumstances...particularly our short rest and playing on the road. For perspective, Missouri State beat Oral Roberts in tulsa by 6-7 points. ORU beat NT by 10 in Denton. NT loses by 11 on the road to MSU on short rest. I think the team is improving. Now the team gets a bit of a break, and its off to Austin to play the longhorns.

Never say die, NT fought hard; I wonder what motive, Alston had for this very tough schedule segment. Bad start doomed team, played even after that. Missouri State is a very good WBB team, Garrison was by far the best player in the game.

Obviously, Alson didn't make this schedule to get easy wins; should pay dividends down the line.

One of the best parts about Coach KA is hearing her post game interviews because she gives us insight to her attitude and how extremely demanding she is on her players. Bartilotta tried to give her a couple of things that could be taken as excuses for the poor first half and for this loss and she quickly stated that she wasn't going to "Sugar Coat" this loss with excuses...that if Godbolt wants to become the player KA thinks she can become she is going to have to learn how to play two halves of ball....that whether the team was tired or not from playing three games in five days, she would let them decide that but to her there are no excuses for not playing better, and stressed that they had to get back to the practice court if they expected to improve.

So refreshing for me to hear this attitude.

Then, as tough as she probably is on her girls, she has the where with all to let off and later say that she understood the team probably needed a couple of days off without her, to get back to studying and just a chance to be college kids for a while.
