As long as they have a 1-2 million a year salary for a coach they'll get just about anybody they want. Not only is that pay great but the expectations aren't THAT high and lets face it...Dallas is a desirable place to live for many folks. And all coaches are bought MDH.

The complete lack of fan support has to be eating at June Jones. If his players are talking about it in the media, you can bet it's eating at him, too. I can't see SMU hiring another coach that brings a more exciting style of play....or 3 straight bowl appearances. For that matter, is there another style that's MORE exciting than what June employs?? You have to wonder what the big money guys at SMU would do in a situation where they lost that guy.

What exactly is Zona State expecting by firing Erickson? With the Wildcats nabbing Rich Rodriguez, which is a perfect fit IMO, ASU will fall even further behind unless they nab a big-time guy.

While I understand a change is probably needed, how strange is it to read that Neuheisel is being canned and that his last game is the PAC 12 championship game.I know, this says more about a lame P12.

They weren't exactly blazing an upward path with Erickson. But, he did have them further down the road than Stoops has Arizona.

My guess is Arizona State gets one of the former OU OC's - Leach or Sumlin.

Sumlin's name is being tossed around on the ASU forums... but June Jones name is on Football Scoop as being the leading contender. Either way.... both coaches could be leaving their programs right on the verge of going to the Big East. Now I just hope that we still keep our game with Houston next year.
