Not that UNT has any openings but it's interesting to note Skladany was just fired at UCF. Skladany had been rumored as a possible DC candidate at UNT since he was McCarney's DC at Iowa State for many years. If UNT has an opening - and I hope they don't -don't be surprised to hear this guys name in the mix.

On a side note what a mess UCF finds itself in, a hair away from invitation to Big East and they are mired in cheating scandal AGAIN...

Which supports my theory that the NCAA has done such a poor job of enforcing the rules that programs figure the risks in cheating are worth the rewards... There may be 20 programs currently under investigation right now for goodness sakes (Boise, North Carolina, Miami, Oregon...) The Penn State travesty just increases the chances the cheaters will get off easy.

Giving little to no consequences to programs like Miami and Ohio St. send that message.

I have no doubt UCF will suffer far harsher consequences than even Penn St.

Unfortunately, one or two on this board are supportive of just such a path for UNT.

I've heard through the grapevine he is a relentless recruiter and UCF's top dog in that particular regard. I remember thinking that with his past relationship with Mac I thought he might end up coming to North Texas but he stayed loyal to UCF. I guess he may be regretting that decision now.

Looks like they need to be on the phone with him then and find a place for him then.

Of course, we would all assume that recruiting was not part of their alleged and soon to be sanctions, right?
