After our worst defeat in several years, we travel to "The Hump" -- home of the #24 ranked Bulldogs. Not sure what to say about this one other than keep your expectations low.

Holmen & Robinson not available for today's game

Not true. Holmen as already played. Not sure on Robinson.

Or maybe we are that bad

This team really, really struggles defensively so far this season. Kids not used to the talent they are facing. Should get better as the year goes on.

Oh I agree. The best basketball is ahead of us. Just right now , we are not a good team

For me I think the biggest disappointment is Roger Franklin. I expected so much more from him given his background and experience (Jr.).

Bost... Doesn't matter how many hands are in his face. Killing us from 3.

Give me a break with their 3's.. they are lobbing them up, often from NBA range.. and sometimes off-balance... they can't seem to miss.... give me a break!

No doubt. They also seem very very unsure in the JJ offense.

Mitchell should make a big difference in both of these problems, but I don't think he is going to instantly transform this team. It's gonna take some time.

I think the first chance we'll really be able to see how we've grown since UTA, is the Columbia game on Saturday.

I can't help but wonder if Chris Jones might serve us best at the 2. He is a fantastic, and reliable scorer... probably the best we have right now.

      Great game, Memphis is a good team and this one came down to the end. However I am still baffled by UNT's inability to inbound the ball, this is a trend that has been going on for a few seasons now. There were several times today that they would inbound the ball directly into a corner trap, many of those instances resulted into a turn over.

      On the road with no scoring from our leading scorer. I love these guys effort. This is fixable when we see them in conference Tourny!!

      Mean Green Fall At No. 21 Memphis, 68-64

      The Mean Green (10-4, 1-1) got a career performance from senior big man Moulaye Sissoko who poured in a career-high 17 points on eight shots and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds in the four-point defeat. North Texas’ Brenen Lorient scored a team-high 18 points and was one of four different Mean Green players to score in double figures. Senior Jasper Floyd had 11 points to go along with a season-high six assists. UNT outrebounded the nationally ranked Tigers (12-3, 2-0) 30-21and forced them into 15 turnovers and just seven assists. “If you have told me we would force them into 15 turnovers and just seven assists and outrebound them by nine I would have really liked our chances,” said head coach Ross Hodge. “But it was that stretch in the second half where we didn’t handle their press well and we ended with 16 turnovers. We’ll regroup together and get better from this together.” The Mean Green have a quick turnaround as they host Rice on Wednesday at Super Pit at 8 p.m. CT. UNT is 8-0 at home this season. The game will be broadcast on the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield and ESPNU.
