What was the belt's record vs C USA this year?

I hate the Belt more than Anyone on this board , but to think that Smu would roll over UL is just ignorant. They haven't been the same since they beat TCU. UL would treat this game like a super bowl while smu would be embarrassed to even be in New Orleans. No motivatation for SMU & if they same pony team that showed up vs Navy , well I'd even give us a shot against them

Sorry but that's completely different. All of those teams play in the same conference. CUSA is much better than the Sun Belt and everyone here knows it, thus why we all want to join the conference.

It's called perception. The Sun Belt has a winning record against CUSA this and did the same last year with a winning record in bowl games. The Sun Belt isn't as bad as you think. The problem is the casual fan doesn't pay close enough attention to realize this and are more attracted to the regional teams they are aware of. I would prefer CUSA over the Sun Belt, but it is taking a hit with the loss of Houston and SMU.

Someone needs to tell Schlabach that LaLa has already accepted the bowl bid.

If Edwards is right, it will be a huge opportunity game for the Belt, not to mention a rematch of a game pleyed earlier this year. Not gonna happen. I think LALA vs USF is much more likely.

On a side note, how brilliant does Willie Taggert's preseason pick for Conference Champion look now? Ya, they didn't win it, but came oh so close after EVERYONE laughed him out of the room (that means you, Brett Vito) when he picked his own team to win the Belt. Great turnaround year for WKU. Should give us all hope for next year.

Louisiana's only out of conference loss was to Okie State. ASU lost to Illinois in their first game this year.

for what is worth, La. Tech won the WAC with an 8&4 record and is going to the Poinsettia Bowl.the WAC this year included Nevada,Hawaii, and Fresno St. who will be joining MWC next year. congrats to the Bulldogs. hope to see them in the same conference as UNT.
