Tech Message Board Discussing UNT

Gonna be a totally different game than last year....we only have 3 guys who played in last years game, and UNT lost Odufuwa, Thompson, andd White.

For the record...when we were looking for a coach this past Spring, I was pitching Johnny Jones' name into the mix.  Love what he's done with the program in Denton.  Bet he ends up as the head man at LSU some day.

I would guess no, just because he didn't even dress Saturday. Which tells me hes a few games from healthy, but still no official word.

Crockett had a great game against us last year. If he's not on the floor, we have an even better chance of winning.

I think TCU joining the Big 12 will reduce the chances that Tech and UNT will continue the basketball series. Tech will be playing in DFW every year now. I'd love to see it continue but I don't think it's going to happen.

I think the LSU rivalry has more potential after thinking about that. Especially since JJ has history there, and has shown a history of recruiting from the Baton Rouge area.

I think it would be great to have a rivalry with Texas Tech, but for it to be legit they would have to respond.

On another note, I think this game will be close. Both teams are young and raw. If we had Tony Mitchell in the game the choice would be obvious, but Texas Tech will be favored because of their Big 12 affiliation. Give us a year or two and it will be no contest.
