If the season is lost, it could at least be a factor because you're going to have two years worth of rookies floating around the league next year. I guess at least it takes away the "I wanna watch the Maverick Game" excuse for some of our more fickle fans, and hopefully more people will simply be hungry for some BB, and we do have that commodity right here in Denton, TX.

The reason I said yes is because a lot of players didn't come out LAST year. Remember all the noname foreign players that got drafted? This year's NBA draft should be stacked and should help our chances of keeping Tony another year.

More players will be coming in than leaving. Making a roster spot will be very difficult. All those players will need that $$$ and play their ass off so they don't get cut. IMO it only helps , even if just a little

Tony Mitchell's lack of an NBA offensive game increases our chances of keeping him around for 2 years more than any NBA lockout.

Not bashing Mitchell at all. He will be greatness here, and I think the longer he stays, the more it benefits him in the long run.

what is Mitchell's age?

It appears that the NBA is trying to get the league's minimum age to go up from 19 to 20 years old, and it appears that the players have no problem with that part of the negotiations

Well, assuming he was 18 for his senior year, he would be 20 this year, as he sat out a year of basketball.

Don't worry, he'll be here 2 years (as I say a little prayer).

Tony Mitchell's lack of an NBA offensive game? If you're basing this off of the FIBA tourney, then slow down a bit, because international basketball is a completely different game than the NBA. The NBA is more isolation-oriented, which suits Tony's game much more. The reason he didn't score much in FIBA was because they had plenty of scorers. His role was shot blocker/rebounder. Remember that he was the second most efficient player in the entire tourney. The most efficient guy got picked 4th last year. I'd be shocked if Tony stayed around for more than a year, but I'd absolutely love to have him. So here's hoping...

He also picked up 4 fouls in 20 minutes while trying to guard a future 1st round NBA pick.

Again, not bashing TMitch at all, and maybe this is just hopeful thinking on my part, but Tony is still a big unknown at the collegiate level, and he has to develop a more consistent outside shot to be NBA ready. He would have to come in and completely dominate the Belt to rise to mid 1st round.

Either way, it's a win-win for UNT.

So with no season, does every team get into the draft lottery?

More than likely, they'll do something like cumulative record for the previous 3 seasons. Then the bottom 14 are in the lottery. Funny thing is, if they just did the same order as last year, the Clippers would start a dynasty. They would have the number 1 and 2 picks, to go with Blake Griffin, Eric Gordon, DeAndre Jordan, Eric Bledsoe, Mo Williams, Al-Farouq Aminu, Chris Kaman, etc...if you add Anthony Davis(Kentucky), and Andre Drummond(UConn), that team would be okay for 2 years, then absolutely dominate the next 10. But with the 3 year rule, the order will be about as fair as possible.
