Shout Out To A Couple Players

Derek Thompson played a grown-ass man game Saturday. Don't know if 31-38 registered as highly on the radar as it should, but that performance has to rank as one of the statistically best games in MG history. Shouldn't it?

Ivan "Ice" Delgado. Yeah that's my new nickname for him, because that's what he has in his veins and because he's cool like that, and yeah, he's a walk on. And he looks like a legitimate candidate for MG receiver of the year along with a couple of other worthy candidates. CB, BC, Andrew Power--haven't forgotten about you. Keep bringing it, guys. Those types of catches are what make a QB look great.

ALL of you were absolutely CLUTCH on Saturday, and TOOK the ball as your birthright on a few catches. Terrific job overall.

James Hamilton--way to stick it in and break it off in Troy. Bring your game again Saturday, because the offense will need you even more against the Hillbillies.

Didn't think I would say it this quickly--but this defense is doing it with effort and attitude. As I predicted, they turned turnovers into gold, and another pillaging of the football this weekend may be critical. WKU has proven they will cough up the football. Any encouragement for them to do so is a bonus.

OL--keep lettin' it do what it do. Crush. Impose. Nuke and pave.

Looking forward to Saturday. Hasn't been a game this big for UNT in almost a decade. Will be huge.

Coach mac mentioned on the post-game show that Ivan Delgado has definitely earned a scholarship! Great news...the kid has really stepped up this season. He just makes plays!
