Andrew Powers: three of his four receptions went for first downs, including the first of three third down conversions that helped us take the clock from 7:43 to 0:19 in the fourth quarter after Troy had pulled to within 38-33.

Come on, now...can the tight end be a useful weapon for an offense or not?

Can Canales get enough plays to Powers to get him some 2nd Team All-Sun Belt Conference love? A tight end at UNT getting some conference recognition love? What is this...2003 or 2004?

Seriously, thanks, Chico! Keep it going.

Power is a monster. He almost looks out of place wearing a mean green uniform due to size... This guy looks the part for sure. Yes, the tight end is often a key part to a successful offense. Now, we need to go out and get 1 in our recruiting class for next year to learn from Mr Power in his Senior Season!

A good TE wreaks havoc on defensive schemes. Most D-backs can't cover someone Power's size, which means LBs have to cover them (and even they are giving up size), which means they aren't rushing the QB or mirroring the RB. Look at what Jason Whitten has done for the Cowboys on 3rd and long over the years.

Power has the potential to drive our 3rd down conversion percentage way up.
