I missed it. How was the show?

So, I heard some of it. I was streaming it over my phone, and the stream was weak(hahaha). Anyways, he was slightly late, and he said that it was a good time for UNT. That was why he was late. He can't talk about it due to compliance issues, but it was a good day. Sounded like he was implying he just got a solid commit or something... wonder if Vito needs to get after it. I'm hoping that he just got a 5* qb and 3 5* DT's to commit. That would be a great early Christmas present. He did say that he plans on bringing recruits out to see the basketball team this year during the off-season.

Anyways, he addressed the question of us ever engaging transfers...and of course, Dan said that unless they come straight to him, he doesn't talk with them during a season. Or something to that effect. Obviously we've had a few transfers that we are pretty excited about in Feldt and Trice.

The wku game is at 6:00 now. It will be on TV.

I didn't get much else that wasn't coach speak. Talk of Troy being a great win if they can pull it off. He went through that he has coached against Blakely and has tons of respect for him and what he has accomplished.

other tidbits that have come to mind is that we have like 27 graduating seniors?

We are looking to sign 23 players in the upcoming signing class. I wonder if that is due to having the 2 transfers of trice and feldt. Maybe someone that wasn't going through dinner cleanup and kid bed prep whilest listening to the show could maybe fill in some of the info I missed/got wrong...

The discussion about transfers also required the transfer to have a full release before anyone can speak with said transfer, and if understood correctly, I think the transfer, even with release has to reach out to the university first.

Late in the program, conference talk was discussed. I wondered if the positive he discussed at the first of the program was related to conference realignment.

I considered this as well...but, would conference realignment talk be a compliance issue? I don't have any idea as I am but a simple caveman who likes UNT football and basketball... soon to be baseball?

I agree. If Coach M said the word compliance, then he was talking about potential recruits and/or transfers.

Conference affiliation issues are not his job. That would be the AD's job.

From the articles I've read it seems to be more of a president job. Though I'm sure athletic directors are greatly involved.
