CUSA Commish' Brit Banowsky has to be monitoring the UAB football situation very closely. As most of you know, UAB has been turned down for a new on campus stadium and that would be the death knell to most programs if they have a dump for their present stadium. (I don't know if UAB will counter with another stadium request or not....matter of fact, they may not as of now know if they will make another request.

We got lucky at North Texas with a student body who knew the value of a good football program at their school so they voted yes on the revised referendum.

Sorry about UAB's misfortune but if that continues to go south it will only help another school move up the CUSA food chain. Not saying its North Texas, but I like our odds by the day.

Everyone in Alabama is either in Tuscaloosa or in front of their tv watching lsu-bama

I thought Alabama had a major league that was choking in the World Series...I hear that keeps people home.

Having attended the UTEP - Rice game in Houston this weekend, I get the feeling that the CUSA enforces a maximum attendance of 12,000 and a minimum reporting number of 20,000. There were absolutely not more than 7500 there.

You know things are really being overstated when people on the Pony board are acknowledging that there is no way they had as many people in the stands as reported. I thought the NCAA change “official” to by butts-in-seats?
