i don't know if he would have made a difference but you are right we are very lean at that position. Biggest need area for this program right now.

I noticed that the young man who was signed as a DT out of Oklahoma was listed as a OL on the official roster.

Also, what happened to...Terell Brooks DT 6-4 293 Dallas, Texas (Duncanville HS)

He was listed on the 2011 recruitment class.

So, based on the recruitment class, we signed five (three DE's) DL's and only one is still suiting out for games, and that would be Alexander Lincoln.

Here is the current roster.

damn, some reason DT's don't want to stay?

The only constant is DL coach Mike Nelson. Don't know if he's the reason or not but he doesn't have much history in playing a lot of defensive linemen. Just sayin...

Well, maybe it's just me, but I thought it was considered a good idea to rotate D linemen, keeping them fresh and helping morale.

I'd rather Nelson left and the DTs stayed

Yep pretty hard to rotate with they all quit (Brooks, White) or move to OL (Thompson, Anyiam). We have 3 scholarship DTs right now. Three! That is it. Seems we should take Thompson and Anyiam and put them at DT for the last 3 games, just to give our 3 real DTs a breather every quarter or two. It isn't like they are going to see the field at OL. Add Feeley to that group as well, as he is another high school DT.

They could at least rotate Ladner in there for a few series. From the story I read about him in early fall, he seemed like a very motivated young man. He might be one of those players who doesn't practice very well, but turns into a beast when he hears the crowd and someone with a different colored jersey is in front of him.

It couldn't be any worse.

Not sure it's wise to burn the red shirts this late in the season.
