New Recruiting Rules

Cliff Notes :

The major changes include:

Unlimited phone calls and text messages to recruits starting June 15 after a recruit's sophomore year.

Two weekends in April will open up for college coaches to evaluate prospects.

The July recruiting period will be reduced from 20 days to 12.

Prospects can take official visits beginning Jan. 1 of a prospect's junior year. The school can pay for travel expenses for the prospect and a parent/legal guardian

Staged on-campus evaluations on official visits are now

permitted.
