I'm willing to bet that UO and TU are unwilling to admit that WVU would give them a run for their money in the conference.

No. They wouldn't. At all.

I truly hate the state of college sports.

Talk about a wheels off Big 12....and to think this will all take place again in 2 more years (or less).

Why doesn't the NCAA let each of the 120 (?) schools be an Independent and just do their own damn thing?

The Big 12 looks like a circus right now, losing teams each month and unable to refill in agreement. I smell lawsuit soon by a jilted school or antitrust review by a Congressman if either UL or WVU get left out now.

The worst that could happen to UNT is that the Big12 might take multiple Big East schools to get to 12. Then the Big East either dilutes CUSA completely or considers a merger with CUSA/MWC instead of reloading, blocking out UNT later from a moveup.

It looks like now the Big 12 may consider adding both UL and WVU because of the screwup and political pressure...

"He [a Big12 source] floated the idea that the Big 12 might add both Louisville and West Virginia as a compromise, going to 11 members assuming Missouri departs. While not a round number, the Big Ten operated with 11 teams for the better part of two decades after the addition of Penn State."

I think that it is interesting to see that the big east, mwc, and cusa called of their meeting. We need WVU and Louisville to stay and have BE take SMU and Houston so we can get the hell out of the SB.
