I think the Big East is dragging out extending the invites because they want to see if Mizzou leaves the Big12 and then who the Big12 goes after next.

Also, Boise and AF had some earlier doubts on joining the BE if it were to lose any further big name programs, they'd re-evaluate their interest.

the big east is in real danger of losing their bcs status, and only b.s.u. can help them unless u.h. cracks top 20.

Someone said they keep it at least until 2014 unless they don't sponsor football.

Contract is redone in 2013 but they get a 2-year grace period which could push to 2015 and the rules are not clear on how you actually lose auto-BCS status so it could go beyond. The Big East is here to stay it's just a matter of which teams are in it.
