Tulsa needs SMU and Houston to stay

Now you know why the Big East is desperate to get Boise State, Houston, UCF and the rising football program at SMU. The Big East needs schools with decent football.

Those schools are currently in the home region of what would be the C-USA/Mountain West.

And, all of those schools, with the exception of UCF, fit into this geographic model.

UCF, along with East Carolina, Marshall and UAB, should go into the Big East.

The rest should stay, merge with the Mountain West, and form what would be the third BCS league west of the Mississippi with the Big 12 and Pac-12.

That would be Tulsa's best-case scenario

Wow, this guy is really begging for someone not to take his teddy bear...

"Put aside your feelings. This is about doing what is right for all of the schools in Conference USA and the Mountain West. The Big East should not even be in the discussion."

I couldn't get your link to work for the article, try this one:

Sounds like Tulsa would want us in CUSA since we're so close to them and would be a good rival for them.

He didn't even attempt to address a scenario that would result from the moves and what could happen to make the situation better. Just because it doesn't make geographic sense doesn't mean that it won't happen.
