Missouri moving closer to joining SEC

"And so, a domino line of conferences awaiting a decision - from the Big 12 and SEC to the Big East, Mountain West and Conference USA [and the SunBelt  ]- must wait a little longer."

This can be good, but mostly bad for UNT's moveup opportunity to CUSA.

Good if the Big 12 simply replaces Mizzou with BYU or Notre Dame.

Bad if Mizzou goes to the SEC and the Big12 further raids the Big East. Some say they just take Louisville for 10, others say a combo of Louisville, WVU, and Cincy to get back to 12.

That could cause Boise and Navy to hesitate joining the Big East without name programs. And that could throw the anticipated Big East invites to SMU and Houston into a hold until they figure their next steps.

We wait and see.

I really don't see the Big East going away. In fact I think they are more attractive with an SMU, Houston and UCF in the mix. They are going after big markets and plan on holding onto their AQ status.

Who wants us first MW or CUSA?
