The best program in NT Athletics marches on. Lets throw some real money at the soccer facilities and recruiting budget and see if we can turn this into a top 25 program. I dont think it would take much.

I actually like the soccer facilities they have now although I would like to see some cover over the stads during day games. Recruiting budget is not a huge issue because they have some of the best players in the country participating in the Lake Highlands Select league based right here in DFW. Being in a conference with more Texas schools probably wouldn't hurt.

We have nice faciliies for the Sun Belt but they are very average compared top 20 programs. With regard to the soccer facilities the field needs improved drainage (when they cancelled the S. Alabama game there were deep puddles all over the field) you just wouldn't see that at TAMU, Texas, SMU or TCU. The soccer and softball field need a permanent ticket office with snack bar and restrooms. Most new faciliies also have a tailgate area with benches and tables, etc. (WKU and TX Tech are nice example of areas for paid fans to sit, eat and mingle while watching the game) Lastly, an improved sound system would be nice. Don't get me wrong, we have a great facility but with such a successful program a little facelift would be nice.

With regard to recruiting John has done a great job of pulling in great talent from the metroplex and Houston area. I bet Hedlund would argue on the recruiting budget..but that's to be expected!
