I hate to say it, but hitting Herman for Feldman in the top of the 11th with two outs, giving the Cards a sure out, may cost the series.

One other note; Why would you have Lewis bunt with a runner in scoring position when the 1st and 3rd basemen are close enough to shake the batter's hands? With the position of the 2nd baseman and shortstop, a blooper to 2nd would have worked. Instead, we BUNT into a double play.

Welcome back, bull pen of the 70's, 80's, 90's and oughts. I had wondered where you had gone? What amazing timing you have? All it took was that genius, lovable medler in the dugout to help you back.

After sleeping on this for a night...I think Texas has a chance to win tonight if they aren't mentally broken and don't make a bunch of jackwagon defensive plays. For some reason I have faith in Harrison to give us a good if not great outing. His last game was a meltdown but it wasn't his doing...I kinda think that maybe this is his one shining moment/opportunity to showcase his mission from last year and not being on the playoff roster to potentially winning the world series game 7 on the road. Yes I know its a tall tall order but that is what I am going on. I think CJ has a shot to come out of the bullpen to give 2-3 good innings as well because its apparent that nobody in the bullpen other than Adams and maybe even Gonzo is trustworthy.

If the hitters don't press I don't have any doubt in my mind that the Rangers will be able to knock Carpenter around. This will be a 3rd start this series and he's pitching on short rest and pitched the most innings this season except Verlander and he's 36.

Call me crazy but at this moment in time this morning I think Texas still has a shot...they've been mentally tough all season and even last season and nothing leads me to believe that it will be where they fold and get blown out of the building tonight.

Also is Mike Adams in Wash's doghouse? Until last night he'd only pitched in one game and one inning total this series. It just baffles me that he hasn't been called on to pitch more.

Scott Van Pelt had SportsCenter while all of this was going on last night...and he was willing to admit that no one was watching him.

From his Twitter, @notthefakeSVP

"If I dance nude on set - will any human in world watch right now ? wait... If I DON'T do that... anyone ? Show of hands... That's a zero"

"I'm juggling chainsaws and have been guzzling bourbon for an hour - see it live on S/C now."

If you hear of a hardcore Rangers fan that has gone mentally insane, I'm letting you know ahead of time, It is me.

EFF THIS EFFIN CRAP

I think a few of my co-workers are concerned for my mental health today. What a kick to the crotch. But hey, as Ian Kinsler said "there is still one more effing game!". They bounce back tonight, and if not, I'll just have to stay in the fetal position for a week with a bottle of Jameson by my side at all times.

Texas had such a great and positive start and yet again the Cardinals tie it up and take the lead. I swear you would think David Freese and Allen Craig are effing superstars. I am not doubting their talent but my gosh this is utterly ridiculous.

I hate the entire Boone family

I will say the pain from '03 made the next year feel that much better. But, the Game 7 defeat in 2003 was just about my lowest sports moment since I was a kid (and REALLY took losses too personally).

My buddy Chris will readily confirm this...but I told him as we were walking between classes after the Sox fell behind 0-3 in '04 that if the Sox were gonna break the curse it would be something story-book like being the first team to come back from an 0-3 deficit.

If I'd have gone to Vegas with that sentiment UNT would be playing at Hemingway Field.

Direct from my Facebook:

Sorry guys.

As a University of North Texas / Dallas Mavericks / Arsenal F.C. / Boston Red Sox fan, believe me when I tell you...I feel ya.

Back-to-back World Series is nothing to balk at, though...especially coming from where the Rangers have been since the mid-90s. I promise you when the break-through does occur, it will be well worth the suffering. Great year Ranger fans.

Also...can't help but notice FFR is lurking...have fun with the forthcoming diatribe.
