Good, but I’ll add this: If Morris doesn’t change his mindset concerning his offensive play calling and in-game management decisions it won’t matter if we hired Buddy Ryan, Chuck Knoll or Tom Landry as our DC. A defense cannot succeed if short-yardage and scoring opportunities are continually squandered away as if they were government food stamps.

I'm just saying that if you connect dots, this hire should be an upgrade. Not a guarantee that it will be.
As you know, Morris' seat is getting warm. I'm not sure there were a ton of quality DC's knocking on UNT's door...
However, when you have a dude with DC experience, in Texas, with some success, looking to land somewhere not named Temple, it would seem maybe a good (or at least decent) opportunity landed in our lap.
