Tough call. CUSA has better travel times and the road games will start earlier for DFW viewers, but the MWC teams are better.

I like the MWC but I'll take CUSA. As long as we can get out of the Belt.

If North Texas is ever going to develop a "rival" CUSA offers a better opportunity. I also think

CUSA teams are more familar to our fans, to say nothing of better travel. I understand that it's always better to travel east rather than west. MWC may or may offer better teams from a national standpoint, but those fans won't be as likely to travel to Apogee.

If there ever will be another AQ conference, I think MWC would have it over CUSA (which will probably have other defectors in due time).

Before TCU left MWC (and then Boise, too), the MWC seemed to be positioning themselves for AQ consideration. CUSA never seemed to have that "dream" in their future it seems to me.

And with all this fruit basket turnover happening now in realignment, who will be an annual rival to who is the next big question.

Rice, UTEP and Tulsa would just about be it for a CUSA regional rival for UNT. Rivals usually come from schools which all time series wins are usually close to being equal. Tulsa would not fit that for us now.

Take UTEP to the MWC and add UNT to CUSA . Look at the road trips that would b possible. This conf has to make money by filling stadiums! Generate TV interest thru a play off system with championship game at Jerry's Place ! LaTech is sweating bullits
