Yeah, what universities need is one more risk management headache. It only takes one drunk asshole to kill or paralyze someone and get the school sued for serving the alcohol.

Drink your beer outside the stadium like the vast majority of other college football fans do. If outfits like OU can survive without serving alcohol to its rednecks, I'm pretty sure we can keep it the way it is.

SIDE NOTE: It's refreshing that the complaints this year have little to do with the team. It seems we're down to complaining about our new stadium and how it should be run. We'll have the most insufferable fan base this side of Texas Tech if we ever start winning again.

Are you kidding? We're halfway in and we've already had a number of dumb complaints highlighted by the growing conspiracy theory about Coach Mac supposedly playing his favorites to sabotage the season while chaining Canales to a radiator and forbidding him from calling plays.

The sad part is that is basically progress for the group.

Beer in the stands could be a HUGE revenue builder. I don't drink beer at UNLV games but I see it flying off the counters and the registers smoking. I am not sure why we pretend college athletics is not big business. It is not big business, it is MONSTER business.

It is all about personal responsibility and trusting people to be adults. Those that are not will have a nice ride home by the DPD.

It is time to bring the full pro experience to Apogee.

I use the game as a mandatory sobering period to recover from pregame before I have to drive back home.

If any of you need beer in the stadium or halftime shotguns, you are tailgating wrong.

26 schools and every pro and minor league sports franchise outside of Utah manages the risk of selling beer. Why not us?

Sorry my opinion didn't pass muster with the honorable Quoner. Tell me, why should we have burned McNulty's redshirt.

An opinion is one thing; 15 threads about it is another. We can argue if you want, but given the chance to side with you or McCarney, I'm taking McCarney. I feel better about these first 6 games and the direction we're going than I have in years, even with all the holes we need to fill on our roster moving forward.

A backup QB who may or may not be a factor in 3 years as we improve recruiting just doesn't lead me to publicly whine and accuse a coach of nepotism and favoritism, but.. different strokes...

I pass. If everyone drank responsibly and there were no sales to underage students then I'd be for it but you and I know that there will be legally drunk consumers running up and down the highways. Especially while we're losing. Sometimes I'd like to drown my sorrows.

It's not like there is no beer consumed on game day. Tailgaters who bring their own, and beer sales at the Alumni Pavilion and the club/suite level loosen up the fans. There's nothing worse than to be sober sitting in the midst of a bunch of drunks. Personally, I like it the way it is.

3.2 is not too bad of an option that some stadiums use. Tailgaters who have been drinking can keep their buzz going a little, others can enjoy the experience of having a "brew" at a ball game, and the school can make a bunch of money. Can't stand the stuff myself.
