Guys the biggest accomplishment of ULaLa this year is beating Troy (which anyone in this conference can do). Also we should note that their attendance numbers are freaking fantastic and I am glad to see so many get behind their program.

Reasons I am not afraid of ULL and you shouldn't be either:

1.) They scored 34 pts against OSU true....but only after the starters were pulled at the half. Before that they had 7 pts. and their offense had 100 yds. at the half.

2.) Well I wish that North Texas could have played a bottom of the barrel MAC team with 1 win to it's name (an FCS team). So congrats on that win.

3.) Again....they won a game establishing momentum. But let's be real.... Nichols State? A team that had it's closest games with both ULL and Central Arkansas.. Again...kudos on the win but there is nothing there to be proud of.

4.) FIU....well with Carroll out and TY Hilton getting very limited play since he was hurt the previous week and they wanted to make sure he healed up. When both of your star players are out and a freshman qb plays his first start....your ENTIRE team's confidence will be tested to the core. Congrats on squeaking by FIU when their team watched their QB go down in the 1st quarter....and the non-experienced backup come out. Reminds me of last year and how they barely squeaked by us while we played our FOURTH STRING QB.

5.) Beating FAU by 3 pts with 3 seconds left just doesn't impress me. Sorry.

6.) The second quarter decided this game and Troy left the potential win on the field with the stupid amount of penalties and of course throwing an INT on the ULL 11 yard line that was returned for a TD thus putting the lead to 24-3 and almost insurmountable (in the Sunbelt anyway) chances of Troy making a comeback. Congrats on your best played game though.

Next up is North Texas and if our Corners and Safeties play like they did against FAU...then expect Gautier's pretty little record to come to swift decline.

We can take ULL....don't take them lightly but let's not pretend that they are some beast that can't be slayed because they are not. Combine that with the stupid amount of crap talk that ULL fans are talking right now..

"Honestly. . .UL will win the Sun Belt. . .and hopefully have a great bowl game!!!"

"My prediction almost 2 weeks in advance. UL 56 UNT 14. It won't even be a close game. UL players from last year will remember last years homecoming game and will make sure the new guys (freshmen and junior college transfers) know what happened last year and make sure it doesn't happen this year."

"UNT has done NOTHING to show that they can hang with UL."

"UNT still has yet to impress. Just saying"

Not saying I'm "afraid" of LaLa, or that we can't beat them. But at this point in the season, they have proven more than we have. Even their one loss (a blowout to Oklahoma State) wasn't too embarrassing, considering what OSU did to Tulsa . . . and in return, what Tulsa did to us.

We can take ULL....don't take them lightly but let's not pretend that they are some beast that can't be slayed because they are not.

That I can wholeheartedly agree with. But has anyone suggested differently?

Airfare from DFW to NO is ridiculous

Make the road trip if that's a possibility for you. It obviously takes longer but it's worth the trip. Shreveport is on the way (about midway from Dallas) and the food there is ridiculous. This was the one roadie I was able to spin into a "family trip" because of the attractions. Again, driving may not be an option for you...but if it is you won't regret it.

Nice post, butthis made me literally cough up cold milk through my nose.

Shouldn't be anything this team has to worry abouy right now.

Also, some think if we beat LaLa, it means a bowl game. Hardly. It's one game in conference play. All momentum could be lost with a follow up loss to ULM. And that's making the huge assumption that we beat LaLa. Long way to go, win or lose.

I was able to spin the Tulsa game into a family trip so I probably used the 1 I had for the year. Wife will be out of town so driving w/ a 3 year old is kinda out of the picture. A drop off to grandma's house & a quick flight was about my only option. My hope is we win this game and I make the trip to Arkie State

Make the trip with the three year old.

I'm kidding. I have a three year old of my own and I feel your pain. Hopefully someone picks up the espn3 feed and we'll see you at homecoming.

You probably won't if the Rangers are playing , rain is in the forecast or UT is in the area

I'm kidding , I will be there no matter what

I think you can discount ULL record to some degree, but they are a very hot team that is on a roll and playing them in Lafayette is going to be a big challenge. I think NT could beat them or anyone else in the Belt in Denton but NT has going to have to play better than Saturday to be in the game at ULL.

ULL's previous win opponents may not be impressive, but they have momentum from that record. Our guys can win this just like they did against FAU. As always, if they really want to lock the victory in, they'll have to produce on both sides of the ball and play all 4 quarters. Anything else risks victory.

Welcome to your Stomp in the Swamp!! Please be safe coming down to Lafayette. I promise, most fans will invite you to have food and drinks at their tailgate. Enjoy your stay

Wow...with that name you should really make some friends around here.

Guys the biggest accomplishment of ULaLa this year is beating Troy (which anyone in this conference can do).

Can anyone else in the conference do it with their backup QB? Our Starter went out on the first drive of the game. and we still won by 17! I know you guys find it hard to believe that we have a legit team down here, (hell, it's even hard for me to believe it) but this is not a fluke. this team is different.

And as for your comment on the OSU game, you failed to mention we had 3 interceptions (2 pick 6s) against Brandon Weeden who is their starter.

And you can say what you want about FIU's QB going down and TY limited but hey, we were on the road (without our All american TE) and our offense lit it up against a very respectable FIU defense.

look at FAU's schedule and you may respect that win a bit more.

We played awful in the Nicholls st game. We were still trying to figure out who our starting QB was and we had yet to get our offense going. Those issues have been resolved.

Same goes for the Kent state game, and that was on the road.

Say what you want about this team but we are for real.

Expect an even bigger crowd than last week especially because there isn't a LSU home game and it's homecoming for us.

Definition of a troll or trolling? Not sure what a troll is by definition. I've never seen that stadium.....seems like a good place to make a road trip?

my point was I'm not causing trouble. just simply defending our 5-1 record. Our stadium has a great atmosphere. Same goes for the city overall. I highly recommend you come down for a game.
