I realize TD was a bad coach, but it is just shocking to me that we have so little talent at the QB and WR positions after he was here for 3+ years.

Having Outlaw out hurt. Look, in that last drive, we had Casey Shutza and Breece Johnson in. We're thin at WR.

Also, you have to give Breece Johnson props for sticking around. But, he is slow. At other schools, they'd have beefed him up and moved him to tight end or h-back. He doesn't have the speed to play WR at this level.

We need Outlaw back for sure.

I've become a big fan of Ivan Delgado, but hadn't heard his name before last week. It was impressive how high he went to make the catch he did tonight; I think he has a lot of heart.

Yep, without Outlaw the walk-on from Killeen is our best receiver.

Thompson did not look his way multiple times last night when he was VERY open...

I love Thompson, and he's the best we've got, but he does not do a good job at all of looking for check down receivers. If you watch his head he throws it to the only reciever he looks at like 95% of the time. Hopefully this will improve with age. It seems the only time Power gets targeted are on plays drawn up specifically for him.

This may be a poor observation or a captain obvious one but our offense needs to open up. The Indiana game was very encouraging until late. Dunbar had 7 receptions that game. I am not even sure if Dunbar had one ball thrown to him against FAU. Our backs are the best thing we have in our offense its time to move them around and get some new looks.

Our OL kept Thompson up so if the running game stalls we need to get the ball around... 3-4 yd passes are just as good as a run.

Don't understand why they don't use Power more often, thought that's what he was recruited for. Where was the Wildcat (or Hambone) last night?

It was very obvious that FAU did an excellent job of scouting NT. Plays that worked against Indiana didn't work against FAU. They almost completely took away the short pass game and is the norm keyed on Dunbar and completely stopping him till late in the fourth.

NT just does not have any receivers other than Bynes who are close to being even average at the college level. Thompson didn't have a good game but on the other hand he didn't make any big mistakes either. The coaching staff plays it very conservative and who to say that didn't win the game. Those calling for long passing and such, apparently didn't see what sunk FAU.
